We had another tie last week, this time with Iree coming on top via a heartbreaking lamentation by Peregrin Took. Iree asks: Who is the best movie hero or heroine under the age of 18?
The Wolverines from Red Dawn. Yeah, yeah I know Jed, and later Col. Tanner were adults but the rest of them were kids. Boil it down to Robert and Mattie if you want but those kids got it done.
Obviously, I am going to nominate Harry Potter. Though if this was restricted to only one movie, then there are better answers out there. The movie series does a good job showing how much Harry grows into these heroic acts. Harry has always been a courageous character, even when he was 11, but the greater the weight of the war on his shoulders, the better he bears it. How quickly he is willing to sacrifice himself is very impressive. In fact, most of his closest friends can all stake a claim here.
Gotta go with the Bueller. He may have been 17. I don't remember what it says, but he was a senior, which means he may not have been quite 18.
I'm not voting for the other two leaders because"The Wolverines" weren't an individual hero, and Katniss was whiny and survived the Hunger Games mostly by accident. Without external help, she would have been dead from the tracker jackers. Or her burns from the fire. Or...
That's okay, Katniss has 4 solid votes and is still in the running to win 😉 ☺️ Whiny or not, she's a true hero(ine) simply because she was willing to die (even though she didn't...) to save her younger sister. 😁

Are you allowed to win? I like this answer. I also like Kevin from Home Alone.
Anyone can win. Not to late to get your own answer in too.
My vote is for Katniss Everdeen, who volunteers as tribute in place of her little sister in The Hunger Games.
*three-finger salute*
I'll go with Kevin McCallister, who at the age of eight, despite being "Home Alone," heroically defended the family homestead from bandits.

I anticipated you would. I wouldn't have used him in the post thumbnail but I figured, "What the heck, LC's going to go with HP regardless." 😀
Gotta do my part to represent Millennials.
And we've got a tie between Katniss Everdeen and Kevin McCalister. Standby by while the judges confer.
To me, there is no answer but Ferris Bueller
Age not specified in movie... he might have been 18 on the nose
But there's no other guy

She only became an insufferable whiner in the last two movies, "Whaaaaah, Peeta, whaaaah." In the first two she did some legit hero stuff..

Throwing in a last-minute vote for Tom Holland’s Spiderman, who is adorable and hysterically funny, humble, and human in his heroism.
