I guess I'll say The Lost Boys, not because I wanted to be a europunk vampire, or because I wanted to dress like Corey Haim, but because I loved the late '80s rocker hair styles. I wanted to be like Def Leppard or Van Halen, and Jason Patrick in The Lost Boys was sort of the epitome of that rugged bad boy era.

Also, except for a few of the glam rockers, I transitioned away from top-40 radio music around that time and embraced classic rock bands like Rush, Pink Floyd, old Clapton,

Zeppelin etc. placing classic LP's all over my walls.

I never could get the hair though. Mine grew more like Richard Marx and Joey Lawrence. 😣

I dug Bon Jovi too, they were one of the few bands that Shan and I agreed on early on in our relationship.

Well, with the disclaimer that a) the last time we tried to watch the movie, we shut it off in the first 20 minutes, and b) our decor was more inspired by the main character's bookstore rather than her apartment 😏...it would have to be You've Got Mail. We still decorate with twinkle lights, and I loved Meg Ryan's cute short haircut.

It's long in the past, but I definitely went through an "Annie Hall" phase with the ties and the vests and I think at one point suspenders. May also have been an unfortunate hat.

Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. I had a major crush on Harrison Ford so I lived vicariously through Elsa. *I cannot believe I am going to share this* I dyed my hair blonde. I'm a dark brunette with natural reddish highlights. Just yikes!

Somethings Gotta Give with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicolson as well as Frances McDormand. The movie takes place in the Hamptons and I loved the style of the house and the beach location. We built 3 years ago in a beach town and I've styled our (much smaller house) after her house. I love the proximity to the beach and their walks in the sand and surf. We're now farther away from 6 of our 7 kids who all live in the same town except one who moved across country and they don't visit as often so that's harder. I honestly thought they'd love to come visit here. We built 100 yds from the campground, the Pinery where I brought them every year for over 20 years. And there's lots to do here.

I'm a fan of both actors. My favourite movie with Diane is The Family Stone. Its my favourite Christmas movie.

Love "The Family Stone"! And it did kind of make me want to make a strata, minus the disastrous spilling.

That part was a bit of a turnoff but hilarious!

Recalling Duckie's rendition of Try A Little Tenderness always brings a smile to my face.
