I noticed the book at a local library and intend to read it in coming months. I got Goodbye Mr. Chips at a Goodwill and really enjoyed that. Both by James Hilton.
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, which could’ve been named Extremely Boring & An Incredible Waste of Time, and might’ve been a better marketing move. 😁
When my mom and I saw "Turtle Diary," so impressed were we by the way its pace matched that of the titular reptile that we thereafter called all boring movies "turtle movies" and rated them on a scale of one to five turtles. Legendarily boring, final answer.
As much as I adore Frank Capra, Lost Horizon was an absolute snoozer. Even the great Thomas Mitchell couldn't save it.
There's something wrong with that movie right, some missing scenes from what I remember.
Must have been the pivotal plot ones.

Meet Joe Black. I don't remember exactly how long Brad Pitt spent eating peanut butter from a spoon, but it was freaking f o r e v e r. Final answer.
The Tree of Life 🤢
I can’t even bother to list everything that was wrong with that movie, but definitely topping the list— boooriiiing

A kids' movie that made zero attempt to entertain the poor adults forced to watch it: The Emoji Movie.
I was fortunate to miss that one. 😄
Fortunately Pixar is great about keeping just enough for the parents.
Milo and Otis. Ugh. Could not sit through that movie.
I was bored and disappointed by On the Beach. 4 stars in Leonard Maltin's book. Apparently nuclear war is slow, dull and talky.
