Last week's winner, Maggie asks: What is your favorite on-screen pairing? The duo can be any type of relationship, but the movie must focus on these two main characters.
Al Pacino as Vincent Hanna versus Robert De Niro's Neil McCauley in Heat. They only share two scenes together in the entire (almost three hour) film but they are clearly playing against one another for the duration. You feel the tension and respect they share for each other throughout as antagonists, which makes their sit down coffee scene a masterpiece when we finally get them face to face. And the way it comes full circle in the conclusion is beautiful.
Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) and Sarah (Mary-Louise Parker) in RED…which admittedly has a ton of great characters, relationships, banter, and chemistry, but those two together are adorable: he’s sheepish, brilliant, humble, and a badass; she’s intrigued, innocent, feisty, and fearlessly eager to get into all the superhero crime fighting. Normally i dislike the pairing of older men with much younger women but in this story it works without being blatantly sexist.
Senor Benedick and Beatrice, Much Ado About Nothing. Whether it is Branaugh and Thompson or Denisoff and Acker (in Joss Whedon's take stage during a break from filming Avengers) I have always enjoyed the play and the characters. How much does modern romantic drama owe to this playwright, anyway.

There was a time in my life when I loved the Lethal Weapon movies, so I gotta go with Riggs and Murtaugh.
Steed and Peel would be a contender, but they never managed to make a movie.

Oh, I knew you were gonna go with them! 😉
Really? I had a hard time thinking of an answer for this one. 😁
Yep. When we first watched the movie together you mentioned they were probably your favorite. :)
Still no winner, which means Maggie gets to break the tie and select the winner.
Woody and Buzz Lightyear.

I'm going with James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto). Great chemistry!
Oooh good one! 👏🏻 I love those two together as well. 🤍
Vince is the winner 😁👊🏻
