What is your Bah Humbug movie — ie, which movie so annoys you that you practically say bah humbug whenever it’s mentioned in conversation? The Rules: Post your answer as a comment. Whoever gets the most likes on their official answer comment by Saturday wins the fight. The winner gets the honor of posting the next question the following Monday.
Yeah. Some people try to write-off its creepiness due to the fact that it was made on the front end of CGI filmaking but that's not the problem - Toy Story wasn't saddled with the same dilemma. No, its just a weird story with disturbing, unlikable characters and zero charm...and crap CGI.
Fun fact: You can find a major flaw in the elf scene where one of the elves has no legs. Don't bother watching it again though, just take my word for it.
YEESSSS! You beat me to it! WHYYY does every single person in every single social setting EXCEPT ME love this movie?! idk what it is.... no. who am I kidding? I know what it is. It's WHO it is. Will Farrell is just the worst, to me. Very few movies with him that I like.
Keeping with the Christmas theme, Love Actually. A film that celebrates the immorality Jesus came to save us from. (I distinguish this from a film like Bad Santa that intentionally contrasts its characters with the true meaning of the Season. Love Actually actually thinks it's about "love", but it isn't.)
It's one of those movies that were soooo awesome when we were impressionable kids that we have a nostalgic appreciation of it that will probably last forever. Were I to watch it now I doubt I could enjoy it as much as I used to. The quotes however are timeless.
And the winner is Mama Mia with the loathsome Polar Express. Congratulations, Mama Mia, you get to choose Monday's question.
Annie. (1982)
I hate it. I hate that movie...SO much, it's like...flames...flames...on the side of my face...flames...
I understood that reference 😁
The Polar Express. This movie makes me want to jump out of my skin.
Ugh, yes.
I despise The Polar Express. All my children think the eyes and mannerisms are just flat out creepy. And we can’t get over Tom Hanks.

You couldn't pay to me to watch this nightmarish freakshow ever again. I'll gladly take your word for it.
Literally logged in and got the password reset email and did the things, SPECIFICALLY TO COMMENT ABOUT THIS FREAKISH MOVIE
Elf.
Fight me 😠

I'll have to pick a different movie now haha
Welcome to the (very small) club! 😁
I know one other person who hates this movie like I do. One.
Well, I did it again. I replied. But, in my mind :/
Are entire series acceptable? If so, I nominate the Oceans 11 series *gag*
Fine by me.
The Breakfast Club. I struggled through it once. Have no idea why so many people seem to think it is profound, or even funny.
Milo and Otis! SOOOO boring I could not keep watching it, not even when I had little kids.

Dumb & Dumber (to include all of them).
I cannot, cannot, cannot stand this movie. (is it Christmas themed, actually).
Anyway, it's over-the-top toilet humor & It far exceeds my cap.
Yikes. That's like most of Hollywood :/
This is the winning answer 🏆
Napoleon Dynamite. Ughhhh
Oh boy. Have you seen it more than once? We can still be friends, but I’m intrigued. Why? Why, Shannon? WHY?!!!
No, I could barely get through it the first time. Why would I put myself through that twice?! It doesn’t seem like an acquired taste. 😂
I was glad to see I could still comment as my freebie membership ended about a month ago.
Question: are we still doing a movie fight next week, since it'll be Christmas Day?
Yup.
It's one of those movies that were soooo awesome when we were impressionable kids that we have a nostalgic appreciation of it that will probably last forever. Were I to watch it now I doubt I could enjoy it as much as I used to. The quotes however are timeless.
I still say, "It's just a flesh wound." Can we still be friends?!
