National Treasure. The lead character has to steal the Declaration of Independence in order to protect it from a group of guys who want it for monetary gain. He tries to warn the government first but nobody believes him so, game on.

It's a fun action movie that will get your history nerd on.

My first instinct, and I really do want to go with it, but... Is the character Batman. Seems just about every story shows him wrestling with his conscience. The fact that he distrusts so many -including those fighting on his team- only endears him to me.

I am nominating the movie, "The Good Son." It's going to be very hard to describe it without spoilers so I don't think I will attempt it. If you saw it, and you're like me, it left a heaviness in the heart and it sparked really deep and interesting conversations. Moral dilemma no mother wants to face.

I never watched it because I heard how disturbing it was but I know the story and spoilers so I definitely give this a like.

On a side note, I think revealing spoilers in the comments here are fine with a warning. ⚠️

This is the first movie I thought of for this question.

As tempted as I am to go with Captain America: Civil War for the third week in a row 😎(but it really fits!😂) I’ll leave it for someone else and go with…Logan Lucky, another one of my favorites. It’s a heist where the good guys are doing something wrong but for some right (ish) reasons, and the dialogue is honest about the ridiculousness of the moral dilemma throughout, like in this conversation:

“We need a moral REASON.”

“Okay, well the people who own the track also own walmart, and one time our sister was workin’ there, and the manager got a little handsy with her…”

*boys consult each other briefly*

“Yeah, okay. We’re in.”

Not a lot of takers this week...yet?

I’m going with Sicario...

please excuse me for using a quote that explains things so much better than I would 😁

I completely agree and endorse this opinion 💯.

“Sicario is one of those intense movies that is hard to process at first but the idea behind it and its war on drugs dilemma is very compelling. The movie opens with an FBI investigation that shows the horrifying lengths the cartel is willing to go to and the law enforcement’s struggle to address these tactics. The movie then follows Emily Blunt’s agent who finds herself in an operation that is willing to go to similar extreme lengths with the purpose, not to wipe out the drug trade, but to give power to one cartel to make it more manageable. It is the idea that the war on drugs is so dire that compromises must be made.”

And this week's winner is... National Treasure. See you all on Monday for the next fight.

Also, Sophie’s Choice is pretty intense.

💯 I was torn between that and Sicario because Sophie’s choice is the mother of all moral dilemmas. (Pun intended 😂)
