He understands that there's something wrong with the surface world we see around us. He doesn't know how to combat it but he's willing to learn and take some knocks in training up. He's reluctant to step into leadership but will if need be. He's frustrated that most of the people are sleepwalking and wants desperately for them to be free.
ok I'm back. sorry! still haven't made this awesome little segment part of routine yet lol I love it though.
ah this one is tough, mostly because I keep thinking of characters that I know my KIDS identity most with... Deku from MHA (anime) and Wednesday Addams (literally any of them) LOL
but to pick one for me, that I most identify with? oof. I'm sure I'll think of others after I post but for now I think I'm going to go with Samwise Gamgee in LOTR. always up to help, the best of friends, loyal to a fault, complains when warranted but carefully sprinkles optimism when needed, loves potatoes (food) & never quits, fights till the end.
I wanted to say someone like Elizabeth Bennett for her brilliant assertiveness or Melanie Wilkes for her complete gentleness and goodness…but then I thought of recent frustrations with a couple kids and felt much more like crabby, exasperated Marilla Cuthbert…and that led me to correcting myself:
No, no, I’m not just crabby. I’m also a complicated, sometimes frantic, sometimes over- or under-patient mom with lots of irons in the fire who desperately needs a break and still can’t figure out where most of my hair clips have disappeared to.
Sooooo…the blogger mom in Mom’s Night Out, final answer.
This IS hard -- but thanks to Mamma Mia's answer, something came to mind. The giant in Iron Giant learns is self-sacrificing, but struggles continually against his agent-of-destruction design. It's way too easy for me to be a gun.
Neo from the Matrix..

He likes guns.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
A hard question this week means we've got a draw on our hands: Teresa and Samwise Gamgee versus Shannon and the mom from Mom's Night Out.
According to MFC rules the member who posted the question gets to choose the winner. Stand by while Mama Mia renders her decision.

Sam Gamgee, LOTR final answer.

I am Shannon's daughter and I approve this message 😁
But do you know where my hair clips are?!? 😂
That I could not tell you. 😕

And the winner is...Theresa. Congratulations, Theresa, you get to choose Monday's question.
