You've Got Mail. A beautiful bookstore, cheeky friends, sweet conversations, and tender revelations. Except for Dabney Coleman and Parker Posey scenes, of course. There's nothing cozy about them.
Return to Me. I want to hang out in that restaurant, I want to go bowling with those people, I want to sit in that garden. Rewatching that movie is like visiting old friends. Helps that the tragic, disruptive event happens at the beginning and the rest is all about healing and reconnecting to life in the coziest way.
This Beautiful Fantastic is an obscure but very cozy movie that not enough people know about. The main character struggles with anxiety & OCD; her neighbor is a grumpy gardener; by the end they are both healed…sort of. There’s a library, a cute apartment full of books, super fun side characters, and a bleak backyard that is transformed into a garden. 👏🏻
Babette's Feast. In spite of bleak surroundings (and the grim people who inhabit them), Babette's generous, bountiful gift to the community warms and enhances the wintry world where she lives.
Little Women (1994 version). Nothing beats the book, of course, but I do thoroughly enjoy this movie and feel like I want to be there with the family in some capacity.
Of all the fantastical places in all the fictional tomes, I would must want to reside in the Shire, and I imagine my home in Heaven as a hybrid of it.
Do I risk a flag being thrown if I cannot nail down one movie or because I have fallen in love with some specific scenes? *sigh*
The Lake House very much fits this for me. The way that they get to know each other through their letters, and the love that they share for the house connects them in such a sweet, organic and cozy way. Thinking about it for this question makes me want to sit down and watch it again.
For me, there are so many Studio Ghibli films that fit this prompt. I’ll nominate My Neighbor Totoro since I have had my giant Totoro stuffed animal since my teenage years. All the scenes in the forest are so comforting and peaceful.

And the winner is...Maggie Montgomery with Mary Poppins. Great job, Maggie, you get to choose tomorrow's question.
Well, Mary Poppin’s, of course! A practically perfect answer, in every way. 😉😁

Totally agree! Great movie.

Anne of Green Gables for wholesome, hygge comfort.

Yep. It's a slow progression so little kids might not track for most of it but it's PG all the way.

Kinda thought Little Women was your one movie.

The Lake House is my final answer.

Ahhh, yes!! I was hoping someone would mention this one! I love this movie.
